CREST Systems Engineering researchers investigate cutting-edge problems across industries. Recent inquiries include conceptual missions to catalog the surface of the moon using solar-heated balloons, communication systems in the face of a black sky event, as well as comprehensive analyses of engineering ethics and length of design phases in critical projects. These publications appear in books and journals such as the International Journal of Aeronautics and Aerospace Engineering and Journal of British Interplanetary Society, as well as being presented at various international conferences.
